Inventor for Experienced 3D CAD Users classroom

Description

This classroom training course is an introduction to Autodesk Inventor for users that have experience in other, non-Autodesk 3D modelling software. The hands-on, practice-intensive curriculum is designed so new users can benefit from a shorter introduction to Inventor software, using their existing knowledge of CAD. You will learn the complete process of creating models from conceptual sketching, through to solid modelling, assembly design, and drawing production.

  • The Inventor software interface
  • Obtaining model information
  • Creating sketch and pick and place features
  • Work features
  • Creating equations and working with parameters
  • Model geometry and model display manipulation
  • Feature duplication techniques
  • Placing and constraining parts in assemblies
  • Assembly component display
  • Presentation files (exploded views and animations)
  • Assembly tools
  • Creating parts and features in assemblies
  • Creating and editing assembly Bill of Materials
  • Working with projects
  • Creating and annotating drawings and views

 

Prerequisites

As an accelerated introductory course for Autodesk Inventor, attendees will require prior knowledge of 3D modelling in other 3D CAD software.

 

Courseware

An Ascent course manual is included in the course cost and is valid for 12 months once activated.

 

Certification

Once a course evaluation is completed by attendees, an Autodesk certificate of completion is issued. You must complete the evaluation within thirty days of the course to receive the certification.
