Inventor Advanced Assembly Modeling online

Description

This Inventor live online course is designed for users looking to understand the software’s advanced assembly modelling techniques.

Topics covered include:

  • Applying motion to existing assembly constraints using motion and transitional constraints
  • Introduction to the top-down design technique for creating assemblies and their components
  • Tools for top-down design, such as associative links, adaptive parts, multi-body and layout design, derived components, and skeleton models
  • Creating positional representations to review motion, evaluate the position of assembly components, or document an assembly in a drawing
  • Using the model simplification tools to create simplified part models and views of assembly designs
  • Creating model states and Iassemblies to create customisable versions of assembly designs
  • Creating rendered realistic images and animations of parts and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor studio and the video producer
  • Using the design accelerator and frame generator to easily insert standard and customisable components and features into your model
  • Efficiently duplicating components in an assembly
  • Adding welds and weld symbols to weldment assemblies

Prerequisites

Attendees must have knowledge of Inventor basics as taught in Introduction to Inventor Solid Modeling. Knowledge of Inventor Advanced Part Modeling is also recommended. Microsoft Excel experience is also a necessary skill for attendees.

Online attendees will need to:

  • Download and install the latest version of TeamViewer: https://download.teamviewer.com/download/TeamViewer_Setup_x64.exe
  • Download and install the Microsoft Teams application rather than joining through the weblink for improved reliability.
  • Have two screens set up (one screen for software, one screen for exercise steps)
  • Have the 2024 version of the software installed and running
  • Have a headset and mic (mic is optional as you can use the text window to communicate)

Courseware

An Ascent course manual is included in the course cost and is valid for 12 months once activated.

Certification

Once a course evaluation is completed by attendees, an Autodesk certificate of completion is issued. You must complete the evaluation within thirty days of the course to receive the certification.
