Description
The Revit Fundamentals for Interior Design training provides you with the essential skills needed to create a complete 3D interior design project using non-structural objects including interior walls, doors, windows, components, floors, and ceilings. You will learn essential drafting tools and concepts that will help you build a solid foundation for further development. Additionally, this training will equip you with the skills necessary to produce construction documents that effectively present your designs to stakeholders.
Topics covered include:
- Introduction to Autodesk Revit software and navigating the Revit interface
- Start an interior design project, including setting up levels and creating plan views
- Understand the project browser and working with views
- Understand Revit families and components, including adding component features and creating groups
- Work with basic sketching and modifying tools to create accurate interior design models
- Create materials and apply them to elements in a project
- Create walls, interior glazed partition walls, windows, and doors
- Lay out rooms and work with an area analysis
- Add floors, ceilings, soffit walls and ceiling fixtures
- Create and display design options for a project
- Set up sheets for plotting with text, dimensions, details, tags, and schedules
- Annotate views to communicate design intent
- Capture design information using tags and schedules, including key schedules, to provide finish information
- Create interior design details
Prerequisites
An understanding of architectural design, drafting and documentation terminology would be favourable for attendees, but no prior CAD experience is needed. Experience with the Windows operating system is required.
Courseware
An Ascent course eBook is included in the course cost and is valid for 12 months once activated.
Certification
Once a course evaluation is completed by attendees, an Autodesk certificate of completion is issued. You must complete the evaluation within thirty days of the course to receive the certification.
